Product Description

Ferric Chloride Anhydrous have Strong humidity--absorbability, and can produce its dihydrate and hexahydrate. Easy soluble in water, ethanol, acetone, also in liquid sulfur dioxide, ethylamine, aniline; but insoluble in glycerol, or phosphorus trichloride. Its aqueous solution is acidic.Especially for water-treatment in industries, corrosive for electronic printed board, chlorinating agent in metallurgical industry, oxidant and mordant in dye industry, and catalyst, oxidant, and chlorinating agent in organic synthesis, and also for making ferric salt, pigment as raw material.Ferric chloride is a covalent inorganic compound with the formula FeCl3. It is black-brown crystal, also has thin sheet, melting point 306ºC, boiling point 316ºC [1], easily soluble in water and has strong water absorption, can absorb moisture in the air and delix. FeCl3 is precipitated from aqueous solution with six crystal waters as FeCl3·6H2O, and ferric chloride hexahydrate is an orange yellow crystal. Ferric chloride is a very important iron salt.
