      Production method 
      Condensation of alkyl chloride or α-olefin with benzene to produce dodecylbenzene. Dodecylbenzene is sulfonated with reagents such as sulfur trioxide or fuming sulfuric acid to obtain dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid.
