Product Description

 

     Sodium carbonate, commonly known as soda ash,and washing soda, is usually a white powder and is a strong electrolyte. The density is 2.532g/cm3, the melting point is 851°C, it is easily soluble in water, and has the properties of salt. It is a weak acid salt, slightly soluble in absolute ethanol, insoluble in propanol, and undergoes hydrolysis reaction after being dissolved in water.  making the solution alkaline and corrosive to a certain extent, and can neutralize with acids to generate corresponding salts and release carbon dioxide.

1. In production and life, sodium carbonate is used to make pasta, prepare sodium hydroxide, etc., or as a formula for various detergents. Use it as a softener for water purification.
2. Among industrial soda ash, it is mainly used in light industry, building materials, and chemical industries, accounting for about 2/3; followed by metallurgy, textiles, petroleum, national defense, medicine, and other industries.
3. The glass industry is the largest consumer sector of soda ash, consuming 0.2 tons of soda ash per ton of glass.
4. In the chemical industry, it is used for water production, including chemicalbook glass, sodium dichromate, sodium nitrate, sodium fluoride, baking soda, borax, trisodium phosphate, etc.
5. In the metallurgical industry, it is used as a flux in smelting, a flotation agent for mineral processing, and as a desulfurizer in steel and antimony refining. Used as water softener in printing and dyeing industry.
6. In tanning industry, it is used for degreasing raw hides, neutralizing chrome tanned leather and increasing the alkalinity of chrome tanning liquid. It is also used in the production of synthetic detergent additive sodium tripolyphosphate and other sodium phosphate salts.
7. Food grade soda ash is used to produce MSG, pasta, etc.
