Product Description

       Potassium carbonate (chemical formula: K2CO3, English Potassiumcarbonate), also known as potassium alkali, appears as colorless crystals or white particles. It is easily soluble in water and its solution is strongly alkaline. When the saturated aqueous solution is cooled, the glassy monoclinic crystal hydrate 2K2CO3·3H2O crystallizes out with a density of 2.043 and loses crystal water at 100°C. Insoluble in ethanol, acetone and ether. It is highly hygroscopic and can absorb carbon dioxide and moisture when exposed to the air and convert it into potassium bicarbonate. Mainly used for decarburization of syngas, electron tubes, glass, enamel, printing and dyeing, welding rods, film development, inorganic salts and raw materials for picture tube glass shells. Impure potassium carbonate is commonly known as grass alkali, tung alkali or bead ash. In the early days, it was One of the varieties of potassium fertilizer.

Use
1. Potassium carbonate can be used to produce optical glass, which can improve the transparency, strength and refractive index of glass.
2. Also used in the production of electric welding rods to prevent arc breakage during welding.
3. Used for the production of vat dyes, printing and dyeing and ice dyeing.
4. Used as an adsorbent to remove hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.
5. Potassium carbonate mixed with soda ash can be used as dry powder fire extinguishing agent.
6. It can also be used as an auxiliary raw material for acetone and alcohol production and as an antioxidant in rubber production.
7. Potassium carbonate aqueous solution can be used for scouring cotton and degreasing wool.
8. Also used in the production of inks, photographic chemicals, polyester, medicine, electroplating, tanning, ceramics, building materials, crystal, potassium soap and medicine.
9. Heavy potassium carbonate is mainly used as raw material for the glass shell of picture tubes. It is widely used as raw material for glass and special glass, and is used for decarbonization of large chemical fertilizers.
10. Can be used as leavening agent in food.
11. Used as an alkaline agent and dough improver, and can inhibit the sourness of noodles. It can be used in pasta products and should be used in appropriate amounts according to production needs.
12. Used for processing of exposed photosensitive materials.
