Product Description

      Calcium carbide is also called calcium carbide. Chemical formula CaC2.
       An important chemical raw material obtained from the chemical processing of limestone. In 1892, the Frenchman H. Maisan and the American T.L. Wilson simultaneously developed the method of producing calcium carbide through electric furnace reduction, and the United States realized industrial production in 1895. The properties of calcium carbide are related to its purity. Industrial products are mostly a mixture of calcium carbide and calcium oxide, and contain trace amounts of sulfur, phosphorus, nitrogen and other impurities. The color ranges from gray, brown to black as the impurity content increases. The melting point and conductivity both decrease with the decrease of purity. If necessary, it should be stored in a dry warehouse filled with nitrogen.

   Useing

1. Used to produce acetylene gas, polyvinyl chloride, lime nitrogen, dicyandiamide, steel desulfurizer, etc.
2. Used in the electronics industry and used as teaching reagents. About 60% of calcium carbide is used in chemical production, and the remaining 40% is used in metal welding and cutting.
3. A series of chemical products can be produced using calcium carbide as raw material, such as PV ChemicalbookC resin, polyvinyl alcohol, vinyl acetate, chloroprene rubber, butanol, octanol, tricyanethylene, tetracyanoethylene, acetaldehyde, acetylene carbon black, lime Nitrogen etc. The largest consumption is the production of PVC resin, accounting for 60% of the consumption of calcium carbide for chemical industry.
