    Polyoxymethylene (POM) is a kind of engineering plastics with excellent performance, POM has the hardness, strength and steeliness similar to metal, it has good self-lubrication, good fatigue resistance and rich in elasticity in a wide range of temperatures and humidity, in addition, it also has good resistance to chemicals, POM is replacing some markets traditionally occupied by metal at a cost lower than many other engineering plastics, for example, replacing zinc, brass, aluminium and steel to make many parts. Replacing zinc, brass, aluminium and steel in the production of many parts.

 Advantages:

1. High fatigue strength.

2. Good abrasion resistance and very excellent friction performance. 3. Low water absorption.

4. High surface hardness, good rigidity.

5. Good dimensional stability, high dimensional accuracy of the product, good sliding.

Disadvantages:

Ordinary POM degrades quite rapidly thermally at higher temperatures, and thermal degradation also occurs in the presence of oxygen. Modified POM overcomes these disadvantages and has good thermal stability and excellent wear resistance.
